Dr. Beth DuPree, breast care
specialist and surgeon
Author of The Healing Consciousness
Director of the Comprehensive Breast Care Institute at
DSI of Bucks County in Bensalem, PA
Dr. Beth DuPree’s impressive credentials
do not capture the humanitarian spirit with which she treats her
patients, friends, and acquaintances. Dr. DuPree, a surgeon who
is focusing her practice on breast cancer care, believes that
using a holistic approach to healing a patient is extremely important.
It is her position that marrying both holistic therapies with
state-of-the-art, leading-edge technology can lead to better outcomes—even
in people with life-threatening disease, such as cancer.
Dr. DuPree strongly urges her patients to seek
complementary healing support, whether it is through clinical
psychological therapy, spiritual assistance, grief counseling,
exercise programs, reflexology, nutritional counseling, Reiki,
Yoga, or massage. In fact, she herself is a Master Level Reiki
practitioner. Dr. DuPree believes that “whatever it takes to help
a person find healing and peace within should be an integral part
of their treatment process”.
Dr. DuPree, who received her medical degree from
Hahnemann University in 1987, has written a book titled The
Healing Consciousness: A Doctor’s Journey to Healing. It is the true story
of her journey as a surgeon who awakens to the healer that resides
within her. Proceeds from the book will be donated to The Healing
Consciousness Foundation.
Because of her strong dedication to patients with
cancer, Dr. DuPree established a non profit organization called
The Healing Consciousness Foundation. This initiative will fund
holistic and wellness therapies for women who would otherwise
be denied these services, as they are not covered by health insurance.

PRESENTATION OVERVIEW
CultureSHIFT: Designing Renewable Lifestyles
The holistic health perspective that each person
comprises a sense of spirit, consciousness of mind, and physical
expression in body is familiar to many. In a parallel framework,
organizations and societies may be considered holistically as
well. At all scales – personal, organizational, and societal –
we humans are beginning to recognize our connectedness in unanticipated
ways.
As a culture, our way of living has manifested chronic illness
in our selves, our organizations, and our environments. All of
our necessities have been compromised at some level around the
globe: insufficient healthful foods, non-potable water, barely
breathable air, toxic relationships, and lifestyles that celebrate
disposal and diminish all life. Our unifying response must be
nothing less than a Culture SHIFT that recognizes our connectedness
in mutually beneficial ways.
In holistic thought all is connected in the web of life. Therefore,
solutions must be holistic by design. The issues before us present
opportunities to participate in personal, community, and global
healing. Small personal steps and larger community strides are
equally important. The mission of the Holistic Living Expo this
year is to connect the dots and provide information and tools
to ease the SHIFT. Beginning may be as easy as changing a light
bulb or sometimes as difficult as changing your mind. Each of
us makes hundreds of choices a week from how we think and act
to how we make purchases to how we dispose of virtually everything.
By making choices mindfully, we can make vital differences. Isn’t
it time to connect who we are with how we live?
In honor of all of us, as well as future generations, we ask
that you remember...
When we heal ourselves, the world heals.
And when we heal the
world, we heal ourselves.

Judy Logback
Founder and Administrator of the Kallari Association
International Corporations, Environmental, Social, and Economic Impacts of Petroleum, Gold Mining, and Logging in the Ecuadorian Amazon
This presentation helps U.S. consumers understand the impacts of their demand for energy, precious metals and woods in Latin America, statistics which the North America press often overlooks. The lack of control over these industries and their disrespect for international laws have resulted in numerous human rights and environmental abuses. This presentation not only reviews the root causes of the problem but also provides a in-depth discussion to find answers to the dire impact extractive industries have left in the past and how to reduce the footprint in future decades. |
Dr. Wendy Warner
In addition to being Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Wendy Warner is one of only a few physicians in the Eastern United States who is Board-certified in Holistic Medicine.
Dr. Warner received her medical training at a time when few in the medical community knew about holistic medicine. Her interest in holistic practices resulted from her desire to search out better methods of treating chronic conditions and healing herself and her patients.

Her interest in energy medicine also led her to become a Reiki Master and incorporate yoga and meditation into her practice.
Dr. Warner, who received her medical training at the University of Tennessee and served residencies at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Temple University, is a member of the Board of Directors and the teaching faculty of the American Board of Holistic Medicine (ABHM). She travels the U. S. teaching holistic medicine practices to other physicians.
